By the by, here's one of MY favorites. This plane was designed SPECIFICALLY for one and ONLY 1 task. What do you suppose that might be?

I will begin the process of selecting a SPECIFIC aircraft for my presentation during today's class.
I will work with my group to identify WORLD CHANGING events that occurred during the 20th Century during today's class.

Let's start with a wee bit of fun for the next, I dunno, 12 - 15 minutes maybe?
HERE is a list of the aircraft that you gotta know by heart by the middle of next week
And HERE be a game to help you practice!

Now please write down 4 or 5 events that you think can be accurately described as WORLD CHANGING events that occurred in the 20th century
Now please write each down using the sharpie pens I gave you using ONLY 2 or 3 words at most. WRITE BIG!
Now please work with your group to sort those items on your table (making sure that no one has to read them upside down-- you *can* do that, honest!)
I'll collect those and we'll put them up on the board (Remember, WRITE BIG) and discuss.
One of the key aspects we're going for is to be able to analyze aircraft development in turns of what was going on at the world at that time.
